This website serves and promotes the GHSWPA member teams and the league as a whole. However, it will only be as good as the content it contains. Fresh content is a must, including current competition results, promotional content, team and league news, and general fun.
It is therefore recommended that each team select a single coach, team member, or volunteer to be in charge of submitting their team’s news throughout the season/school year. Think of this position as the “Team Publicist”. Possible news-worthy content includes, but is not limited to, pre-season team expectations and summary, game write-ups and scores, pictures of team action and activities, links to video files hosted via other websites like YouTube.com, internal team awards and end-of-season summaries.
To keep the content submissions within reason, some rules will be applied to all submissions:
- A name, valid email address, valid phone number, news date and related team(s) are required
- If illegal content is submitted, the team’s contact will be notified immediately
- Submitted photos and other files should be renamed to be descriptive of the file’s content so that proper captioning can occur when posted
- Video files cannot be submitted; these should be posted to a YouTube channel (or other video sharing site) which can be linked to for posting via the GHSWPA website
- There will be no favoritism when deciding what gets posted between teams
- News will be posted chronologically as to the date it occurs or is submitted; news will be archived accordingly
- The GHSWPA webmaster has the final say in all news postings
